Outfit post - March 27, 2012

I'm kind of in love with the color red and any variations of it, and so I love these jeans! I also love the collar look. Have a  good day!

Ever since I saw a fun little glass terrarium, I was fascinated by it. The earthy feel, colors, everything! After looking up how to make it online, I saw how easy it was, and i just had to try it myself. Hope you enjoy this simple DIY!

1. jar or glass container
2. cacti or succulents
3. soil
4. pebbles/small rocks
5. moss and other decorations

Pour in the rocks, then the soil. Have a little layer of each. (Some people use netting to prevent the two from combining, but that isn't necessary.)

Place the small plants into the soil.
REMEMBER that the point of a terrarium is mostly looks. Organize the plants and decorations in a way that is aesthetic and pleasing to people who see it.
Pat in the dirt to make sure all of the plants are secure.

And voila! A finished terrarium! I am so happy about how mine turned out! Remember to water the plants as much as is specified for them.

Outfit Post - March 24, 2012

Happy spring! This vintage tie necklace belonged to my great great aunt and i am honored to own it now! Also, i am IN LOVE with these combat boots, but i probably wont be wearing them much longer, with all the warm weather.

Loving all of this warm weather! This is a very simple way to make a cute anklet that has an earthy, tassel look. Enjoy!

Materials:
-suede cord
-scissors

Directions:
1. To measure a good anklet size, measure the suede cord so that it fits very easily around your hand, as if you were putting it on like a bracelet. Don't worry, it will stretch a lot to fit your ankle nicely.
2. Cute another suede cord in various sizes.
3. Create a loop with the small piece and put it up against the one you tied to fit your wrist.
4. Wrap the two ends of the loop around the cord and back through the loop to create a small knot.
5. Continue to fill the anklet with these little tassels until it is full.

I hope you enjoy this little project!
